Another dismal employee survey )
We now have the results of the University of Alaska’s 2025 employee survey. The survey shows significant and growing dissatisfaction. Regular readers will feel no surprise.

But first, commentary from a class conscious worker.
Only the brain-dead believe the bosses’ positive spin
As with last year, the bosses put a positive spin on dismal results.
This year’s top bullet point was that 66% of workers are “engaged and motivated to meet or exceed their goals.” That sounds okay until you consider the flip side: a full third workers are not motivated. More egregious is the bullet point that “there are high levels of trust in and communication with direct supervisors across the system.” That statistic was carefully cherry-picked. Trust in anyone but “direct supervisors” is lower. For instance, only 38% “have confidence in the UA system leadership team to make the right decisions for UA.”
And so on.
Deception is just one half of it!
The bosses’ spin isn’t about just about saving their own skins or padding their resumes. This is how they actually see the world.
They don’t care if you’re underpaid, if you’re dissatisfied, or if you’re looking for another job. You are not at UA for your own growth or satisfaction. Like every other worker, you are employed only to serve the Moloch capital. As an education worker, your purpose is to prepare the next generation of wage-workers for profitable exploitation.
Finally, the results
So, the University does not publish these results for the public. They are locked behind a login page. But we have ways, mystical digital ways. More importantly we have sympathizers. That’s how we can give you the complete 2025 employee survey results as a PDF.
